I am a Holistic Nutritionist. I perform nutrition screenings for my clients and offer advice on diet-related concerns such as digestion problems, weight management and optimum nutrition. I provide guidelines for lifestyle changes and dietary programs which are tailored to each individual’s nutritional and health needs.
Why bother with a Nutritionist? Public interest in diet has never been greater as can be judged from the media. You can hardly take up a magazine or a newspaper without finding the latest super-diet. Yet, all this information tends more to confuse than inform and this is where I come in. I make out a personally tailored diet (which cannot be obtained from any book) to suit your individual’s needs and I will also be able to continually monitor your progress and keep you on track and motivated.
Nutrition Holistic Nutrition is based on the belief that humans can physically and emotionally benefit from a properly balanced diet and which in turn may prevent many health problems in the future. The human body needs a particular balance of protein, vitamins, and other nutrients to help the body to heal itself and to reach overall physical and emotional health. The right combination of protein, vitamins, and nutrients will also help our bodies to reach maximum energy levels. Studies have shown that by making the proper food choices people can prevent many common health problems.
A Holistic Approach I find A Holistic approach undoubtedly is the most effective. My training in relaxation and basic psychotherapy has helped me to understand the part that the mind plays in the production of energy and vitality. I often make use of this combination of relaxation and right diet to achieve the maximum results. I take everything into account with my clients and deal with the whole person, their lifestyle, work, home life and mind set. Many of the people who avail of my services greatly benefit from relaxation techniques to enable them to obtain maximum absorption of nutrients. In fact I get the best results with people when they practice some of the very basic relaxation techniques that I teach.
The Consultation To get the best result with people I need a minimum of three 45 minute sessions. · The 1st session - involves reviewing your history and getting an outline of what your current daily diet and lifestyle. · The 2nd session – You will receive a prescriptive diet for your particular concerns and education as to the rational behind any recommendations. Also this session is all about motivating you towards health and vitality. · The 3rd session – This usually occurs 4-6 weeks after you start your dietary plan is a review of results achieved to date and also to make any changes to alter and fine tune your plan. Subsequent sessions – If you are on a program that required a longer period of time to attain results, additional sessions will be necessary.
Diets Plans For health, energy, weight loss, weight gain figure/physique, beauty, sports performance, digestion, mental alertness and function,depression, nervous conditions, insomnia, joint health and most importantly balanced family diets. I also give clients daily meal plans and healthy recipies to follow.
Supplement Advice Most people take supplements these days but often are unsure that they are getting any benefit or are fearful that they are taking the wrong amounts etc. As part of my practice I very often prescribe health supplements to treat any deficiencies that I find when analysing a clients diet. I make out a balanced diet and supplement program to address any nutrient deficiencies.
