About Niall
A lifelong interest in playing and now coaching Gaelic football and Soccer
prompted a career in Physical Therapy. A realisation of the extent of
Work-related, Postural related and /or Sport related injuries has led Niall
to work with clients post surgery, to rehabilitate back to normality, and to
work with the client's Posture so that preventative measures can be put in
place before a serious imbalance occurs. Niall works in conjunction with the
client's primary medical practitioner to educate the client and then to help
empower the client to facilitate his/her own healing. Niall is covered by
all the major health insurance companies, VHI, Quinn Healthcare and Hibernian

What is good posture?
Posture is usually defined as the relative arrangement of the parts of the
body. Good posture is that state of muscular and skeletal balance which
protects the supporting structures of the body against injury or progressive
deformity irrespective of the attitude (erect, lying, squatting and
stooping) in which these structures are working or resting. Under such
conditions the muscles will function most efficiently and the optimum
positions are afforded for the thoracic and abdominal organs. Poor posture
is a faulty relationship of the various parts of the body which produces
increased strain on the supporting structures and in which there is less
efficient balance of the body over its base of support.
